A relative newcomer to Singapore’s content creation scene, medical student Krison Sum has successfully combined his passion for fashion with his commitment to service through unwavering self‑discipline, authenticity and the power of social media.
ON FASHION

For Krison, fashion is a tool of sorts that fulfils different aspects. “It has a deep emotional pull for me—it represents both a desire for acceptance and a sense of achievement,” he reflects. He credits his current aesthetic, which he describes as “effortless and polished”, to GQ Taiwan’s editorial head Kevin Wang and our April 2024 cover star, style maven Yoyo Cao—both of whom have grown a strong social media following around their distinctive personal style. Today, Krison curates his wardrobe with a minimalist eye that looks to brands such as Issey Miyake, Sacai, Acne Studios, and Bottega Veneta, as he is drawn to their sophistication and the refined appeal of quiet luxury.

ON MEDICINE

As much as he gravitates towards fashion, medicine remains Krison’s true calling. Seeing health as a privilege, he feels a duty to serve those in need. “I want to uplift spirits, comfort patients, and be as diligent and meticulous as I can,” he shares. Emergency medicine, in particular, captivates him with its high stakes and immediate impact, which aligns with his drive to make a tangible difference as a doctor who reassures patients in their most vulnerable moments.

ON CONTENT CREATION

What began as a way to support himself during medical school has since evolved into a platform for storytelling and self‑expression. “A life worth living” is the phrase that guides his content creation journey. “I want to inspire others through the experiences I share online,” says Krison. Looking ahead, his goal is clear: To become a doctor who makes a difference—and earns enough to travel the world with his family.
