ITZY's Yeji On What Advice She'd Give Her Younger Self And Off-Duty Activities
Long-sleeved dress; blazer, GIVENCHY. White South Sea cultured pearl and diamond bangle in white gold, $13,000, MIKIMOTO.

As they celebrate their fifth anniversary, ITZY are setting their sights firmly on the future. Their gratitude for the support of their MIDZYs (the name of the ITZY fandom) is evident, but these girls are hungry for more. Over the past five years, they’ve grown not just as a group, but they’ve navigated the whirlwind of fame with remarkable poise and resilience. We asked them about their journey so far, favourite concert moments, and how they spend their time off-stage.

How has your experience been touring internationally so far?

Yeji: I liked when we went to eat the famous food of each city or bought it as a late-night snack after touring. Food is a great way to remember a city!

What are you most excited about for the remaining stops on the tour?

Yeji: When I was younger, I remember dancing to all the songs of Miss A. Among them, I liked “Good-bye Baby” the most. I love K-pop and listen to all my seniors.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Yeji: I would tell my younger self that she did great, and that the end results are worth it.

What are some of your favourite things to do when you’re not working?

Yeji: I’m trying to find a hobby I like, but I don’t have one yet. But I do love watching dramas like Queen of Tears, which I’m currently binge-watching.

It’s been an interesting five years for ITZY. What are some of your thoughts looking back on your career?

Yeji: Every moment is meaningful, but I think this tour period is the most memorable moment of the year for me. During the last tour, our stage engagement with the audience was limited due to the COVID-19, but this time, everyone is feeling open and in great spirits.
