Acoustic cover kings Boyce Avenue are making their long-awaited return to Singapore on 19 April 2025, marking their first performance here in seven years. Set to take place at Ho Bee Auditorium, the show promises an evening filled with the band’s signature stripped-back renditions of pop hits, heartfelt original songs, and a touch of musical nostalgia for long-time fans.
For many Singaporeans, Boyce Avenue’s acoustic covers were the soundtrack to the late 2000s and early 2010s, dominating YouTube playlists and late-night singalongs. The band, formed by brothers Alejandro, Daniel, and Fabian Manzano, first gained global attention through their soulful covers uploaded to YouTube, amassing an incredible 16.8 million subscribers along the way. Their ability to reimagine popular songs into raw, emotional acoustic versions has earned them a dedicated following across generations.

Their return to Singapore is part of their ongoing commitment to bringing intimate, emotional performances to fans worldwide. Presented by Encore Live, the show will also feature local multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Daniel Sid as the opening act. Known for his blend of pop, R&B, and soul, Daniel’s performance will set the stage for an evening where music transcends genres and borders.

You’ve performed all over the world—how do you make each show feel special for the audience? Do you have anything unique planned for your Singapore stop?
Every show is a unique experience because of the energy the audience brings. We love to connect with our fans on a personal level, and seeing all of their faces in the crowd is always exciting! For Singapore, we’re planning to bring a mix of our classic acoustic covers, original songs, and maybe even something exclusive for our fans there.
YouTube played a massive role in your rise to fame. With the platform and the music industry constantly evolving, how do you stay ahead and keep your content fresh?
YouTube has been a game-changer for us from the very beginning, and we’ve always tried our best to adapt to how the platform and music industry evolve. We stay ahead by being consistent with our content and staying faithful to our sound. Whether it’s acoustic renditions, collaborations, or behind-the-scenes moments, we like to mix things up a bit. But most importantly, we stay true to our brand of music—the style that made people follow us in the first place.

Collaborations have been a big part of your journey. Are there any Singaporean artists you’re familiar with or would like to work with while you’re here?
We love collaborating because it’s always fun, and every collaboration brings something new. We have to admit we’re not too familiar with the Singaporean music scene, but if there are local artists our fans recommend, we’d love to check them out and see where creativity takes us!
How do you decide which songs to cover? Do fan requests influence your choices, or do you look for songs that challenge you musically?
It’s definitely a bit of both! We love choosing songs that challenge us musically and allow us to put our own spin on them. The best covers are the ones where we can take a well-known song and strip it down to its rawest form, making it feel fresh and more emotional.

What’s the most unforgettable interaction you’ve had with a fan on tour?
There have been so many incredible fan interactions over the years that it’s hard to choose just one. One thing that always leaves an impression is seeing fans with tattoos of our lyrics or song titles. That level of connection is so humbling. We remember one fan at a meet-and-greet who showed us her tattoo and told us that our music helped her through some of the darkest times in her life. That’s the kind of story that stays with you forever.
With so many years in the industry, what keeps you inspired to keep making music and touring?
It’s all about our fans. Their support and the connection they feel to our music is what keeps us going. Every time we step on stage and hear them singing along, it reminds us why we started this journey in the first place. And on top of that, we genuinely love working together as brothers—our passion for creating and performing hasn’t faded one bit.
Can fans expect any new music or exciting projects on the horizon? Maybe a little sneak peek for Singapore?
Absolutely! We’ve been releasing new music pretty regularly, and there’s definitely more to come. We’ve got some exciting duets lined up this year, and we’re also working on a new Christmas song that we’re really excited about. Hopefully, we can share a little something special with our Singapore fans when we’re there!
