After teasing that she has “something big launching this month” on Twitter, Kylie Jenner confirmed today that she is launching a skincare line, Kylie Skin. Rumours of a skincare line surfaced as far back as October 2018, when fans noticed she filed a trademark application for “Kylie Skin.” The line officially drops on May 22.
This is a logical next step after Kylie Cosmetics, which has reportedly sold US$600 million of makeup since first launching in 2016. She was the first of the Kar-Jenners to branch out with her own beauty brand (Kim launched KKW Beauty a year later, Kendall is rumoured to have one in the works), and what started out with lip kits has brought her net worth up to US$900 million, according to Forbes.
“Skin was something I dreamt up soon after Kylie Cosmetics. I’ve been working on this for what feels like a lifetime so I can’t believe I’m finally announcing!” she wrote on Twitter. “Building my makeup line from the ground up has taught me a lot and I’m so blessed with that knowledge to apply to my brand new company! Birthing a whole new team, manufacturing, fulfillment, etc. separate from my cosmetics line was challenging but here we are!”
By the looks of Kylie Skin’s first campaign video, the packaging is millennial pink.
While there’s no word just yet on exactly what products will be sold, the KylieSkin.comwebsite is already live with the option to sign up for more info.
