You can catch Lisa in two places on TV tonight: on The White Lotus, where she and other hotel employees are in for yet another wild week in Thailand, and on the Oscars stage, where she just performed with Doja Cat and Raye. While the It girl trio didn’t sing their latest collab, “Born Again,” they still spiced up the Academy Awards with some pop-star energy and performed a James Bond medley onstage.
Following an introduction by Halle Berry, Lisa started with “Live and Let Die,” Doja Cat followed with “Diamonds Are Forever,” and Raye closed with “Skyfall.”

The Academy teased last week that the artists would deliver a “show-stopping celebration of cinema” rather than their new song together. The news has had fans on the edge of their seats ever since.
Not "Born Again!" But still legendary. Stay tuned. 😉

The performance might come as a surprise, given that the artists don’t appear in and didn’t compose music for any nominated films this year. But because the Academy is foregoing performances of Best Original Song nominees at tonight’s show, it opened up room for other acts. (The Original Song contenders will instead be featured in videos showcasing the songwriters’ processes instead, according to Variety.) Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, who are nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, also performed. The Los Angeles Master Chorale will deliver a special tribute to L.A. as well.
“Born Again” was released on February 7 and is featured on Lisa’s new album, Alter Ego, which dropped this past Friday. The K-pop star talked to ELLE about working on the album under her own management company, Lloud Co., three years after her last solo project, Lalisa.
“I think what I’ve learned from last time is me, myself, saying what I like and what I don’t like,” she said. “I think that’s the most important. Because if I say, ‘Ah, it’s okay,’ [people] don’t know—like, am I really okay with it? So I have to be able to say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ Not in between.”
Lisa will be back onstage later this year with Blackpink when the group embarks on a world tour starting in July. The shows will mark a long-awaited reunion for the band, after its four members—Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé—have spent the past year focusing on solo projects. Those pursuits have taken them everywhere, from the top of the Billboard chart to front and center on the Oscars stage.
