The 77th Cannes Film Festival is in full swing with magnificent displays of couture and high jewellery. Stars from around the globe show up in full regalia to lend their support to the film industry and award-winning films. This year, we see more than the usual number of Asian celebrities, all of whom are dressed to the nines. Ahead, we shortlist our top 10 best dressed Asian celebrities, and breakdown their fabulous outfits.

Araya Hargate

Thai actress Araya Hargate, well-known for her style, embraced the "New French Style" in archival Pierre Balmain couture from its fall 1988 collection . The black velevet gown featured with striking graphic detailing at the back, paired with matching gloves, and radiant Boucheron jewellery.

Yoona Lim

Girls Generation's Yoona Lim effortlessly highlighted her soft feminine beauty with a pink-hued Monique Lhullier gown. The star represented fine jewellery house Qeelin at the event, sporting a dazzling bamboo-inspired diamond necklace.

Kylie Verzosa

Kylie Verzosa, Filipino actress and beauty queen, embraced the grandeur of the annual event, opting for an eye-catching number from Azerbaijan couture label Sophie Couture. The flattering black velvet bodice contrasted beautifully with the voluminous floral printed golden taffeta, all tied together with timeless jewellery from Marli New York.

Ming Xi

Chinese model Ming Xi proved her supermodel status on the carpet, accentuating her proportions in a Rami Kadi couture gown. The ravishing ensemble featured a floral corset bodice with pleat detailing and sparkling Chopard jewels.

Elaine Zhong

Chinese actress Elaine Zhong looked like a princess in an elegant couture gown from Russian label Valentin Yudashkin. The soft pink gown was adorned with reflective detailing, and the ensemble was taken up a notch with billowing semi-detached sleeves delicately draped from top to bottom. The ensemble was paired perfectly with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.

Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani turns heads with her glamorous debut in a breathtaking black and pink gown by Turkish label Nedret Taciroğlu. The figure-hugging gown had an exaggerated fishtail silhouette and exquisite train and was embellished with an oversized pink bow. The Bollywood actress also went all out accessorising with lavish accessories from Bvlgari.

Yara Alnamlah

Yara Alnamlah, a Saudi entrepreneur and influencer, stole the spotlight with her striking beauty and phenomenal accessories. Opting for an all-black, feather-trimmed Rami Kadi ensemble, the simple yet elegant garment allowed the statement jewels to have their moment. The Chaumet ambassador opted for the Wheat necklace from the Le Jardin de Chaumet High Jewellery collection.

Freen Sarocha

Thai starlet Freen Sarocha put on an extravagant display for her Cannes Film Festival debut in a custom Eman Al Ajlan couture piece. The elegant and sophisticated scarlet-hued tulle ensemble was complemented with dazzling diamonds from Chopard.

Rebecca Armstrong, a rising Thai-British star, put on the ultimate cool-girl outfit: An all-black Balenciaga ensemble. The asymmetrical dress was ingeniously upcycled from three crepe jersey vintage frocks. The edgy look was accessorised with gold Bvgari jewellery.

Cinta Laura Kiehl

Cinta Laura Kiehl, Indonesian actress and model, paid homage to her heritage with a Balinese Jalak bird-inspired gown by Indonesian couture label, Monica Ivena. As for accessories, she kept things simple allowing her gown to command all the attention.

Guan Xiaotong

Guan Xiaotong, a regular film festival attendee, served us a showstopping look from Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. The high-low silk ensemble complemented the Chinese actress' long pins, along with crystal-embellished bustier cups and balloon sleeves. The sensational look was topped off with brilliant jewels from FRED.
