To the general public, Monday is an average Monday, but in the fashion world, today is the Met Gala—our version of the Super Bowl with less sweat and fields and more couture and heels. With this year's theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", all about the role of Black culture shaping fashion and popular culture, the guests brought their A-game on the blue carpet. From berets and boater hats to ringlets and bejewelled eyebrows, here are some of the best beauty looks from the 2025 Met Gala that will have us talking until next May.

Jennie

Elegant and chic, Jennie showed up to the Met a vision in Chanel. With her hair in a low ponytail, she accessorised with a black and white boater hat. For the make-up, she kept it chic and sophisticated with a matte-satin base, a soft champagne and eyeliner on the eyes, and a glossy mauve lip.

Doechii

Doechii showed up blazing with her Met beauty look. Rocking an afro, her make-up was full-coverage complete with brown-black lip liner topped with clear gloss and the Louis Vuitton emblem on her right cheek.

Lewis Hamilton

As one of this year's co-chairs, Lewis Hamilton was sure to be on theme from head to toe. To match his custom Wales Bonner ensemble, he swapped the braids for a slick low bun, topped with a white beret adorned with a jewelled brooch, and left his visage in the hands of Pat McGrath herself.

Doja Cat

Never one to shy away from a bold look, Doja Cat showed up to the Met full rockstar glam with layered pouffes. For make-up, she packed on white eyeshadow with light grey in the crease, fluttery outer lashes, and thin brows. Keeping the base super matte, she tied the look together with a bold matte lip.

Zendaya

Zendaya can never go wrong with her Met Gala looks. For her Bianca Jagger moment, she slicked her hair back into a low bun accessorised with a white wide brim hat. For her make-up, she she went for a smoldering bronzed eye, sculpted glowing skin, and a brown glossy lip.

Lisa

Lisa made a statement with her outfit for her Met Gala debut. While her ensemble got everyone talking, she kept her beauty look simple with a curly updo and signature glam make-up alongside intricate Louis Vuitton inspired nails.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner stood on business this Met gala with both her ensemble and beauty look. Swapping her bob for long tresses, she sported her signature glam of full brows, fluttery lashes, matte-satin base with coral blush along the cheekbone, and nude lip.

Imaan Hammam

Imaan Hamman was the epitome of superfly with both her outfit and beauty look. Sporting a sleek bun and deep side part, she wore a headpiece adorned with flowers and a feather. With bleached brown bows, the supermodel enhanced the look with smoked black shadow around the eyes, matte skin, and a touch of gloss on the lips.

Dua Lipa

Besides making her red carpet debut with beau Callum Turner, Dua Lipa turned up to the Met looking absolutely glamourous in Chanel, with make-up by YSL Beauty. Pulling her tresses into a high bun with gelled down face-framing tendrils, the singer sported brushed-up brows, a rosy-brown eye, and voluminous mascara on the top and lower lashes. With a satin base, she completed the beauty look with a nude pink matte lip.

Rihanna

Bad gal Rihanna never fails to show up and show out at the Met Gala. With a low ponytail, the singer wore a large wide-brimmed black hat. For her make-up (using Fenty Beauty, of course), she had a signature glam on with the addition of more pink blush on the cheeks and sharp cupid's bow using a brown lip liner.

Rosé

With her structured outfit, Rosé got messy (just like the title of her song from the upcoming soundtrack for the F1 movie) with her blonde tresses in a more textured version of the 'wet' look. For her make-up, she enhanced her ensemble with pink eyeshadow, black smoked liner on the outer corner, and satin skin with rosy blush on the cheeks blending up to the under eyes. She kept the lips simple with a blurred lip, focusing the mauvey pink hue at the centre of her lips.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny isn't afraid to mix things up at the Met, and this year is no different. Complimenting his custom Prada suit, the singer sported gelled down curls and accessorised with a pava-inspired hat.

Lupita Nyong'o

In a gorgeous baby blue Chanel suit, Lupita Nyong'o caught our attention with her bedazzling beauty look. For her make-up, the actress honed in on the eyes with a smoky eye and crystal-encrusted brows. She then accessorised her ponytail with ornate embellishments, a blue Carnelia fastened at the base of the ponytail, and a matching hat.

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter was seductively chic with her custom Louis Vuitton look, and she had the beauty look to match. With a deep side part and cascading voluminous waves, the singer had full brows, flicked eyeliner, pink flushed cheeks, and a mauve brown lip.

Nicole Kidman

Can we say mother? Nicole Kidman showed up and showed out with a new 'cut' (we're still figuring out if it is genuine or the magic of a good wig). Letting the grown 'cut' do the work, she kept the glam simple with glowing skin, slightly smoked eyes, and a subtle pink lip.

Chappell Roan

The pink pony club was present at the Met through Chappell Roan and her vibrant look. The signer had gemstone brows and high shine glitter shadow, anime style lashes, elongated wing, and pink eyeshadow 'tears'. Keeping the rest of the make-up simple, she had a matte base and nude lip, but kept her signature voluminous curls intact.
