A Peek Inside Bottega Veneta’s Newly Refurbished Ion Boutique

Last month, Bottega Veneta reopened the doors at its ION boutique, officiating a new era for the brand under the helm of its newly appointed creative director Daniel Lee.

In tandem with the arrival of Lee’s highly anticipated first collection, the newly-refurbished store reflects the same modern sophistication as the designer’s modus operandi at Bottega Veneta.

Painting a clear departure from its previously dark interior, the boutique’s facelift sees its walls bathed in bright white or Roman travertine texture, with the pale hue of Antique Oak made into linear shelves and glass-topped display tables surrounding the perimeter. Throughout the store, the minimal facade is broken up by the visual accents of brushed brass racks, colourful jelly cubes and vintage-inspired leather seating.

From left to right: Double breasted jacket in wool, S$2,650, quilted effect skirt in Matelassé Nappa, S$5,130; BV classic bag in French calf, S$3,830; tuxedo silk shirt in cotton and silk, S$1,250 and skirt in scuba Duchesse, S$1,330.

On the racks, hang the brand’s Pre-fall 2019 collection – Precise and slender tailoring hued in humble and neutral tones are sometimes punctuated in heightening shades, crafted in luxurious cashmere, silk and every permutation of leather. Hardware on handbags and belts draws on Milanese reductionism while square-toed dominates the footwear department.
